Filter -> Barrel-type Vacuum Filter -> Details:

    Barrel-type vacuum filter is mainly composed of barrel, transmission device, rotary valve, main bearing, stirrer, ore pulp tank, scraper blade and winding mechanism.

    Internal type of barrel-type vacuum filter is applicable to filter coarse particles with high density and settling velocity, especially iron headings concentrated by magnetic separation and flotation method. While external type and belt type are mainly used to filter relatively fine particles of colored metal and nonmetal headings that with low moisture content.

    Negative pressure will be generated by vacuum pump on one side of filtering cloth, thus, pressure difference will be formed between the two sides of filtering cloth. Because of the pressure difference, liquid in ore pulp will become filtrate and solid particles will stay on the filtering cloth to be filtering cake. Filtrate will be continuously discharged out of the machine, while filtering cake will be taken away by the scraper.

    Barrel-type vacuum filter is widely used in chemical industry, petroleum industry, pharmaceutical industry, light industry, food industry, coal industry and mineral separation industry. By taking advantage of porous filtering medium, the machine is able to separate solid and liquid substances.

    Classification of filter: gravity filter, vacuum filter, pressure filter, centrifugal filter, barrel-type vacuum filter and belt vacuum filter.
