    Upper part of hydraulic cyclone is a hollow cylinder and under part is an inverted cone interlinked with the cylinder. The upper part and the under part are made up the working body of hydraulic cyclone. In addition, there are other parts like feeding pipe, overflow pipe and sand setting mouth.

    Through a sand pump with certain pressure (usually it is 0.5 kg to 2.5 kg per centimeter) and certain flow speed (about 5meters to 12 meters per second), ore pulp will be brought into the cylinder along the tangent. In the cylinder, ore pulp will revolve along the inside wall at great speed and generate centrifugal force. Coarse and weighty particles will be thrown out under the effect of centrifugal force and gravity.

    Hydraulic cyclone is mainly used to grade, separate, concentrate and deslime in beneficiation industry. When taken as grading equipment, the machine is usually used together with grinding machine to make up separation system in mineral grinding process; while being desliming equipment, the machine is used in gravity separation plants; and it is also thickening and dehydrating equipment that can thicken tailings for underground mining gallery filling.

    There are no moving components in hydraulic cyclone. Features of the machine: simple structure, large production capacity per unit volume, small occupation area, high efficiency of separation (up to 80% to 90%), low cost and low material consumption.
